EXPANSE AI officially launches in Berlin to accelerate Europe’s AI Scale-Up
The EXPANSE AI officially kick off in Berlin, Germany, during 23rd of June, hosted by the initiative coordinator VDI/VDE Innovation. The event marked the formal launch of the initiative and brought together consortium partners from research organisations, industry and the European Commission to align on the project’s ambitions and strategic direction.
EXPANSE AI is a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action dedicated to accelerating the scale-up and market adoption of high-potential AI innovations across Europe, with a strong focus on connecting research excellence to real-world deployment
The kick-off meeting offered an important opportunity to deepen the consortium’s shared understanding of the project roadmap, objectives and expected outcomes. Throughout the day, partners took part in a series of interactive workshops designed to shape key elements of the project, including:
- Ensure that results will be visible and accessible to stakeholders across Europe;
- Design of the Scale Up Academy, which will provide support for AI innovators and an introduction to innovAtrix,
- A framework for assessing innovation readiness across dimensions such as market fit, societal impact, investment readiness and ecosystem visibility
We will support the project by turning high-potential technologies into deployable capabilities that deliver tangible value across Europe by connecting AI innovators with investors, end-users and policy stakeholders.
