We’re thrilled to announce the launch of GENDEX, Europe’s pioneering initiative for gender and diversity! Created in partnership with Founderland and IDC Europe, GENDEX is here to bridge data gaps and open doors for diverse talent across Europe, fostering a more inclusive and equitable innovation ecosystem.

GENDEX’s mission

Our mission is clear: Empower evidence-based decision-making and help cultivate a more inclusive ecosystem where everyone has access to opportunities. By creating Europe’s first Innovation Gender & Diversity Index, GENDEX aims to shine a light on diversity in leadership and support organisations as they strive to include more diverse voices in decision-making roles.

Why GENDEX matters

The statistics paint a stark picture of gender disparity across leadership positions in Europe:

  • According to the Gender Diversity Index, only 30% of leadership roles (including board, executive, and committee positions) are filled by women.
  • Out of 668 companies analysed, only 50 have female CEOs, and just 169 have at least one female C-suite member.

These figures highlight the urgent need for change. By bringing these gaps to light, GENDEX underscores the importance of inclusive leadership and the transformative impact it can have on innovation and business.
