Data and AI for More Resilient Critical Infrastructure
Cyberattacks, sabotage, extreme weather and hybrid threats are placing growing pressure on Europe’s critical infrastructure. From energy and transport to healthcare, ware, finance and digital networks, the systems people rely on every day must be able to anticipate disruption, respond quickly and recover effectively.
Our CEO Tanya Suarez will join the panel of experts for Data to Improve Resilience of Critical Infrastructures, a discussion focused on the role of data and artificial intelligence in strengthening Europe’s essential services.
The role of data
Operational data from sensors, logs, telemetry and connected systems can give operators better visibility of infrastructure conditions, helping them detect risks and make faster decisions.
Historical and real-time data can also support predictive maintenance by identifying equipment likely to fail before it causes wider disruption. AI can help analyse large volumes of information, simulate disruption scenarios and support resource allocation and response planning.
However, these opportunities also bring important questions around cybersecurity, latency, data governance and trust. These will be central to the discussion.
Expert discussion
The panel “Data to Improve Resilience of Critical Infrastructures“ will bring together perspectives from innovation, telecommunications, cybersecurity and research to examine the trends, approaches and solutions shaping critical infrastructure resilience.
1 October | 11:30 to 13:00
Joining Tanya Suarez will be:
- Christos-Antonios Gizelis, Principal Innovation Analyst at COSMOTE TELEKOM, OTE Group
- Aljosa Pasic, Senior Consultant at Bull
- Habtamu Abie, Chief Research Scientist at the Norwegian Computing Center
- Imelda Casey, Cyber Security Analyst at the National Cyber Security Centre of Ireland, NCSC-IE
Together, the speakers will explore how organisations can use data and AI to build systems that are better prepared for disruption, while addressing the practical challenges that come with deploying these technologies in high-risk and highly regulated environments.
