Leading Europe’s Advanced Digital Skills
The Brief
The European technology skills landscape is quickly changing with growing demands for skills, especially in IT, Cyber, and STEM sectors.
Recruiters experience severe difficulties encountering professionals with the right skill set and experience and the demand for professionals combining sectoral knowledge with digital skills is growing.
All of that happens in a context where the EU is at the risk of losing 1 million people every year from the workforce from 2020-2030 and unemployment is on a record low.
Our Solution
To tackle these challenges, BluSpecs is responsible for the coordination of the CSA that detects the main trends in emerging skills needs per each technology area and defines demand and supply gaps in education and training.
LEADS develops specific guidelines for new approaches to course development, company wide practices, and talent pipeline development. The project provides insights to create an ecosystem between education institutions and companies and guides the future investments of the EU in the form of the €580 million fund for Advanced Digital Skills, all with the overall goal to achieve 20 million ICT specialists by 2030.
Results
To date we have analysed the demand for ADS and forecasted for three different scenarios. This together with the structured dataset of the training offerings and education courses resulted in the gap analysis which provides an analytical comparison between the offering of advanced digital skills in the EU and the expected demand.
